Marissa Webb Resort 2017

Inspired by two looks from Marissa Webb's Resort 2017 collection. Loved the combination of flowy floral dresses with her signature army jackets, as well as some sleek, tailored pieces.

And just a few current season Marissa Webb pieces I'm coveting:

Met Gala 2016

Probably one of my favorite red carpets of the year, the Met Gala is where couture meets art.
The theme was “Manus x Machina,” celebrating fashion in the age of technology, so lots of metallics and robot-inspired looks.

My favorite of the night was Poppy Delevingne in a masterpiece Marchesa.

Just the Essentials

I recently went through a massive closet purge, and am trying to focus on only keeping fewer, better things, and just the essentials, which for me includes a lot of black, white, simple cuts and quality fabrics. That is not to say I'm giving up on all my frivolous heels, I can't. :) But when it comes to bags, one key piece for me is the Cuyana Classic Leather Tote. Super soft and roomy enough to throw all your things for the day in it. Also hi, girl-on-a-budget, it's beautiful Italian leather that looks way more expensive than it is.
Shop this print on Etsy.

And shop some of my favorite Cuyana essentials:

Bombers and Boots

Bomber jackets have quickly become a spring style necessity.
Make a sporty topper more polished by combining with classically chic pieces.

Trench Connection

An elegant, flowy trench is a must during transitional months. Throw it on over a slouchy tee, leather leggings and sleek pumps, or destroyed denim and kicks. It adds just the right amount of flair, and warmth, to your look. I like to tie the belt at the back of the coat for an effortless drape, or simply knot the belt in front for a more tailored silhouette.
